About TaxBridge

Community-focused tax and self-employment support that makes things clearer.

TaxBridge exists to improve financial inclusion by helping people understand tax, reduce avoidable stress, regularise their affairs, and build safe, sustainable self-employment and micro-business activity.

We are here for people who may feel excluded from mainstream support, including sole traders, freelancers, gig workers, limited company directors, micro-business owners, migrants, low-income individuals, and people who feel anxious about tax and business matters.

What makes TaxBridge different

  • Plain-English support people can understand
  • Professional tax knowledge with community understanding
  • Early support that helps prevent bigger problems later
  • A calm and respectful approach that builds confidence
  • Community benefit at the centre of what we do

Legal status

Community Interest Company

TaxBridge is a trading name of Wider TaxNet CIC, a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee established in March 2025.

As a CIC, Wider TaxNet CIC exists to deliver community benefit. TaxBridge reflects that purpose through accessible, community-focused tax and self-employment support for people who may otherwise struggle to get trusted guidance.

Governance

Balanced oversight and community benefit

Wider TaxNet CIC is overseen by two unrelated directors who bring complementary strengths: professional tax and accountancy expertise alongside strong community knowledge and local understanding.

This structure supports balanced decision-making, practical oversight, sound governance and a clear focus on community benefit, accessibility and responsible delivery.

Professional leadership with strong community connection.

How we work

Practical, proportionate and rooted in community benefit.

Accessibility

Support that feels approachable

We aim to provide plain English information, flexible ways to get in touch and support that feels welcoming for people with different confidence levels, language needs and digital access.

Community delivery

Trusted spaces and local relationships

As a startup CIC, we are developing delivery through community venues, outreach sessions and referral relationships with trusted local organisations. This helps us reach people earlier and reduce barriers to getting support.

Safeguarding, data protection and accessibility

Responsible, respectful and careful in how we work.

Safeguarding

Wider TaxNet CIC is committed to safeguarding and to creating a safe, respectful environment for the people and communities it supports. We recognise that some individuals may be vulnerable because of financial stress, language barriers, digital exclusion, immigration concerns, low confidence or wider personal circumstances.

Our approach is to respond with care, appropriate boundaries, and a clear focus on signposting or escalation where needed.

Data protection

Wider TaxNet CIC takes confidentiality and data protection seriously. We are committed to handling personal information responsibly, lawfully and with appropriate care.

Information shared with TaxBridge is used only for appropriate service, communication and administration purposes, and we aim to maintain clear, proportionate and secure handling of data in line with UK data protection expectations.

Accessibility

We want our information and support to feel accessible. We aim to use plain English, offer flexible contact methods and respond in ways that are more manageable for people who may be anxious, digitally excluded or unsure where to begin.

We continue to improve our accessibility as the organisation develops.
